Aurora Man Hit and Killed by Truck on I-25

DOUGLAS COUNTY (December 10, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed shortly after 4 a.m. Monday morning when they were hit by a truck near the Larkspur exit on southbound I-25.

According to the Colorado State patrol, the 19-year-old male from Aurora was killed after he stepped into traffic and was hit by a box truck in the right lane. Investigators believe he was hit by a second vehicle shortly after, which left the scene.

The truck driver, a 23-year-old man from Denver, stayed until CSP arrived. Aside from the fatality, no other injuries were reported.  The southbound lanes on I-25 were closed for about 3 hours until they were cleared at 7:20 a.m.
