One Woman Dead After her Truck Collides with an RTD Bus in Aurora

Aurora (December 30, 2018) – An early morning crash involving a truck and an RTD bus left one woman dead in Aurora.

The crash happened near E. 33rd Ave. and N. Oakland St. around 6:42 am. The women was driving east in the westbound lanes when her vehicle struck an RTD bus head-on. It is unclear why she crossed into the oncoming lanes.

Aurora police and fire responded to the scene and found the driver had died as a result of the crash. The woman was the only person in the truck at the time of the accident. Two bus passengers received care at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police, RTD, and the Coroner’s Office are all working to investigate the crash, and plan to release the name of the driver at a later date.
