DENVER (November 22, 2018) – Just after 8 pm on Thanksgiving night, a hit-and-run driver struck 3 pedestrians at the intersection of Martin Luther King Blvd. and Quebec St. in the Park Hill neighborhood in Denver.
Initial investigations show the car was traveling northbound on Quebec when it struck three pedestrians who were eastbound in the crosswalk. One man and one women were struck and seriously injured.
A third woman was critically injured, and later died in the hospital. She was identified as 65-year old Karen King by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner. Police say the vehicle fled the scene northbound on Quebec from MLK, was a black or dark colored sedan, possibly a Cadillac.
A license plate number has not been released, but police are looking for a car with front end and windshield damage. Police continue to search for the driver and information about this crash and urge people to call 720-913-2000 with information.
