Two Injured in High-Speed Pueblo Crash

PUEBLO (December 15, 2018) – A collision occurred early Saturday morning, which left two people in critical condition.

Around 1:20 am, a driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a cinder block wall in the 3400 block of W. Northern Ave. The car was traveling at an extremely high rate of speed.

According to Pueblo Police, damage to the vehicle was so severe, rescuers had to use the “jaws of life” to cut the car open and free the two occupants. They were hospitalized with serious injuries.

The impact of the crash was so severe, that the homeowner is dealing with a major cleanup. Bits of the wall flew into a their yard, breaking a window. The car proceeded to hit another car parked in the backyard. A nearby garage was also damaged.

The driver and passenger remain in critical condition at a local hospital. Their names have not yet been released.
